Wellness Worn Close: Why The Wellness Initiative Loves Their BREETH Golf-Shirts

In the conversation around wellbeing, there’s one factor often overlooked: what we wear. For The Wellness Initiative (TWI), a passionate team working across South Africa to bring health and wellness solutions to communities, clothing is a tool for confidence, cohesion, and care.

For Bianca, the team’s operations lead, it all started with a visual draw: “They looked very comfortable yet fashionable,” she says, but the real magic happened in the wearing. “You can feel the quality straight away — the fabric is thicker than your average T-shirt but it's never hot. It doesn’t crease easily, so even after a full day of driving and meetings, it still looks fresh.”

Comfort and professionalism are recurring themes across the team, and these are two key considerations we make during our design process. With their days spent moving in and out of cars, visiting stores and customers, and presenting themselves as the face of wellness, they needed clothing that could meet their pace without compromising style. “Feeling professional helps you feel professional,” says Drue, TWI team manager, “and feeling comfortable feeds your energy throughout the day.”

For those with sensitive skin, BREETH has been a surprising relief. “I have very sensitive skin,” Drue adds. “BREETH feels soft and doesn’t agitate it at all.” Nonto agrees: “It’s cool and comfortable, especially because we travel so much. You feel fresh all day.”

Our partnership goes beyond fit and feel, and there’s a deeper sense of alignment between our brand and theirs. “TWI also strives for quality,” says Bianca. “Having a clothing partner that helps us look the part makes a huge difference. Plus, we often work with clients who align with BREETH’s ethos, so the gear becomes a conversation starter.”

Indeed, the golf-shirts haven’t gone unnoticed; “people ask me if I’m selling BREETH apparel!” laughs Drue. Tamryn echoes this: “Clients notice the shirts, and it makes it easy to introduce the brand.”

One of the most powerful outcomes of the BREETH x TWI partnership has been the sense of unity it’s created among a team that’s spread out across the country. “It makes us feel like a united front,” says Bianca. “Like we’re part of something bigger.” Nonto agrees: “It gives a sense of belonging. I love these shirts.”

When asked what Wellness Worn Close means to them, their answers were heartfelt: comfort, quality, luxury, care, unity. Perhaps most importantly: confidence. As Nonto puts it, “When you're comfortable and confident, you radiate style and class.”

In wellness work, appearance matters as a sense of pride, and sharing in the wealth of health in both mindset and lifestyle choices. As Drue so beautifully says, “Dress well = feel well. There’s a mental and emotional shift that happens when you show up feeling your best. That’s what BREETH gives us.”
